Receipt
Check one payment.
A receipt proves what a single confidential transfer moved. Paste one and it is checked against the chain here, in your browser. No wallet, no account, and nothing to trust from whoever handed it to you.
What a receipt is
It proves an amount. A confidential transfer leaves a binding commitment to its amount on chain. A receipt opens that commitment — and only that one. Pedersen commitments bind, so no second amount can be proved for the same transfer.
It is not a key. There is no auditor and no standing access. A receipt covers one payment for whoever holds it, reveals nothing about any balance or any other transfer, and can be issued to one person without being issued to everyone.
It is not exclusive. Holding a receipt is not evidence of being its intended recipient — the sender can hand the same one to anybody. It answers how much, never who is owed.
Privacy has edges. Making a balance private, and making it public again, are visible on chain by design. A receipt speaks only for the private hop in between, never for the whole journey.
